Instant Pot Taco Meat

Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 lbs ground beef, thawed
  2. 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  3. 1 tsp oregano
  4. 1 tsp chili powder
  5. 1/2 tsp turmeric
  6. 1 tsp paprika
  7. 1/2 tsp salt
  8. 1/4 tsp pepper
  9. 1/2 tsp cumin
  10. 1 tsp dried basil
  11. 1/4 tsp marjoram
  12. 3 cloves garlic, minced
  13. 1 red onion, diced
  14. Optional: garnish with chopped cilantro
Instructions
  1. Set all of the items in the Instant Pot with the exception of ground beef.
  2. Push the saute feature and saute for 3-4 minutes or until soft.
  3. Add the ground beef, and using the same feature, saute until browned.
  4. Push the keep warm/cancel button.
  5. Place the lid on the Instant Pot, close the valve to “Seal” and push the manual button, then set the timer for 15 minutes.
  6. When the pot is done (beeps), quick release, and use the saute feature to cook off any liquid.
  7. Drain meat and place in freezer bags for quick weeknight dinners.
